The camp itself is renowned for its commitment to conservation and community support, as it is the only tourist facility in the Conservancy directly owned by it. A portion of the profits and conservancy fees from the camp are reinvested into Lewa’s culmination of conservation projects, which include the protection of endangered species, such as the black rhino and Grevy’s zebra.
