Serian, the initial camp established by Alex, truly embodies its name’s essence. Derived from the Masai language, it signifies ‘peaceful, calm, serene’, serving as a sanctuary from the fast-paced modern world. It offers an opportunity to immerse oneself in the untamed beauty of Africa, all while indulging in the traditional luxury of tented accommodations. Situated within the private Mara North Conservancy, this location’s allure lies in its exclusivity, with only ten other camps granted access. Thus, the privilege of possessing a personal slice of Africa is a luxury that we abundantly provide.

Serian Camp Accommodation

Serian consists of five vast marquees perched on beautiful hardwood decking – one of which is a family suite. Each marquee is unique in its own way, but we furnish all of them with elegant simplicity and complement them with countless thoughtful little personal touches that make it feel like home.

The beautiful bush bathrooms offer views over the river valley as you soak in your tub, and you will feel the delicious sensation of being outdoors. The bathrooms are airy and spacious, including a shower as well as an enormous bath, twin basins, and a flushing toilet

The thatched mess area has a stunning view over the Mara River and the Siria escarpment, and it is the perfect spot to share a sundowner and stories of the dwindling day. Join Adrian and Roisin by the fireside, and watch as the stars take over the sky.

The comfy furniture, smooth wooden decks, and indoor fireplace give a warm feeling of home away from home – and our idea is for you to treat it like one: so sit back, put up your feet, and succumb to the chilled ambiance and good company that constitutes Serian’s nightlife

Serian Camp “The Nest’ Treehouse”

Book a romantic night in The Nest in the middle of your stay at Seriaan Camp or Ngare Serian. For the ultimate “in the wilds” adventure, why not experience a night in a tree, under a star-filled African sky?

Immerse yourself in the peace and serenity of a private tree house with nothing between you and the heavens but a canopy of rustling leaves and moonshine. ‘The Nest’ complements the prestigious Alex Walker collection of camps and is perched out on a limb in a lone Warburgia tree overlooking the Mara River, close to Serian and Ngare Serian Camp.

With two double nest-shaped beds plus space for a couple of bedrolls, The Nest can work either as a romantic overnight tryst for two or as an amazing sleepover for an adventurous family or group of friends.

Set in 1500 acres of exclusive conservation area adjoining the private Mara North Conservancy, there is space and freedom to roam and explore as you wish. Night-vision cameras are installed so you don’t miss the activity of nocturnal animals.

Ngare Serian: This camp is located on the banks of the Mara River and offers a unique experience of being surrounded by the wilderness. It has four spacious tents and can accommodate up to eight guests. Ngare Serian provides a private vehicle, guide, and spotter for each group, allowing for personalized safari experiences. The camp also has a dining area, campfire, and a plunge pool.
Serian Camp: Situated in the Mara North Conservancy, Serian Camp provides an intimate and exclusive safari experience. It consists of six spacious tents and can accommodate up to twelve guests. The camp offers guided game drives, walking safaris, and night drives, providing opportunities to explore the diverse wildlife of the Masai Mara. Serian Camp also has a communal dining area, lounge, and a campfire.
Serian Nkorombo: Located in the heart of the Masai Mara Reserve, Serian Nkorombo is a mobile camp that moves with the annual Great Migration. It consists of five tents and can accommodate up to ten guests. The camp offers game drives, walking safaris, and cultural visits, allowing guests to witness the incredible wildlife and Maasai culture. Serian Nkorombo provides a dining area, lounge, and a campfire for guests to relax and enjoy their surroundings.
