Resting at the foot of Mount Kenya, overlooked by its dramatic snow-capped peak, Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a beautiful destination for nature enthusiasts. The Conservancy is renowned for protecting various species, including the world’s last northern white rhinos. A wide variety of wildlife can be enjoyed, from lion to giraffe and elephant. Our guests can enjoy game drives and reflective moments at camp, with opportunities to observe elephant feeding on whistling thorn trees or lion stalking the plains. Whether photographing the Big 5 or reading a book, you’ll savour the warmth and hospitality of our staff and feel right at home in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. 

Accommodation

There are seven tents (including one family tent) at Ol Pejeta Camp. Each has an en suite bathroom with flushing toilets and hot water bucket showers. Beds are snug with extra blankets and a hot-water bottle slipped in during the evening turndown service. The tents feature spacious decks where guests can relax for hours in the afternoon, immersed in the sounds of the wild bush.

Safari Activities


A stay at Ol Pejeta differs from traditional safaris due to the wide array of activities offered. Mornings and late afternoons are when safaris take place as animals are most active. Should you have a private vehicle, your itinerary can be personalized with your guide.

A Typical Day on Safari at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp

The day begins with a wake-up call and breakfast before or after the morning game drive. Guests can enjoy a mid-morning break then lunch, followed by siesta time—perfect for reading or enjoying the view from your tent’s deck. After afternoon tea, embark on an evening game drive, including sundowners before returning for dinner.

Child rates

  • Children below 5 years are not allowed unless the camp is booked exclusively
  • Child 5-18 years:- 50 % of adult rate
  • Children below 12 should always share a room with an adult
  • Child 19 years and older                : full adult rate
  • If 1 adult sharing with 2 children, the adult pays the per person sharing rate and each child pays the percentage stated above.

It is easy to get to Ol Pejeta – just a four-hour drive from Nairobi or a quick flight to Kamok airstrip, followed by a 45-minute drive to the camp.
