Location

Encounter Mara Camp is in the private Mara Naboisho Conservancy, southwest Kenya, adjacent to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve.

This area provides a superior wildlife viewing experience, particularly for lion, but also for zebra, giraffe, elephant and buffalo. Even during the peak months of the Great Migration in the neighbouring Masai Mara Reserve, the Naboisho Conservancy continues to challenge the quality of the game viewing experience with its staggering wildlife density and unrivalled exclusivity. Safari guides adhere to a strict code of conduct within the conservancy, ensuring a greatly enhanced experience that values and respects both wildlife and the local people.

A Day in the Life at Encounter Mara

Start your day with an early wake-up call and tea or coffee before embarking on a morning game drive. Return for a hearty lunch, followed by a leisurely siesta. In the afternoon, indulge in tea before departing for an evening drive, ending with sundowners. After a day of adventure, relax under the starry skies with a scrumptious dinner.

Inclusions / Exclusions  “

Inclusions: Full board accommodation, conservancy bednight fee, all house drinks (except champagne), scheduled game drives, night drive, transfers to/from nearest airstrip and to/from Encounter Mara, limited laundry service.

 Exclusions: Conservancy fees, Asilia conservation charge and other fees specified in the park fees tab, cultural visits ($ 30 per person), balloon safaris, transfers other than to/from nearest airstrip or Encounter Mara, flying doctors/medical evacuation insurance, flights & airport taxes, gratuities, items of personal nature, additional lunch (picnic or in house) $25pp.”               

• Airstrip and transfers     “Ol Seki airstrip (45 min from camp) Transfers between Encounter Mara/ Naboisho Camp and Rekero can be arranged free of charge for GP bookings.
• Encounter Mara to Rekero approximately 1 hour 45min.
• Encounter Mara to Naboisho Camp approximately 15min.   

Private vehicle $500 per day subject to availability. Minimum 2 days.
