Day 1: Arrival in the Masai Mara

Your luxury safari begins with a transfer to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, where you’ll board a scheduled light aircraft for a scenic 45-minute flight to the Masai Mara.

Upon landing at the Kichwa Tembo Airstrip, a professional driver-guide will greet you and transfer you to &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp for check-in.

After a delicious lunch at the camp, settle into your luxury tent before heading out for your first afternoon game drive. Explore the vast savannah plains in an open 4×4 safari vehicle, spotting elephants, giraffes, lions, and the abundant wildlife that makes the Mara famous.

Return to camp as the sun sets, and enjoy a sumptuous dinner under the African stars.

Return to camp for a hearty breakfast. Then, choose your adventure:

  • Full-Day Game Drive: Venture deeper into the reserve with a picnic lunch, exploring the famous Mara River where hippos and crocodiles bask, and, during the migration season (July–October), witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the crocodile-infested waters.
  • Hot Air Balloon Safari (Optional): Soar silently above the plains at sunrise with a champagne breakfast included.
  • Maasai Village Visit (Optional): Experience the vibrant culture of the Maasai people with a guided visit to a traditional village.

In the late afternoon, set out on another game drive, looking for elusive leopards, cheetahs, and the predators that thrive in the Mara ecosystem. Stop for sundowners at a scenic spot before returning to camp for dinner.
