Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 marks your arrival in Nairobi. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by your Beyond Kenya Safaris representative and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax or join an optional visit to the Karen Blixen Museum or the Giraffe Centre.
Accommodation options include Karen Blixen Coffee Garden & Cottages and Hemingways Nairobi. Meals are Bed & Breakfast. This completes the Kenya Elephant Conservation Safari, Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Safari Package, Reteti Sanctuary Visit, Tsavo East Reintegration Unit.
Day 2 features Nairobi National Park. Then, after breakfast, enjoy an early game drive. Indeed, Nairobi National Park is Kenya’s only park inside a capital city.
Later, visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Nairobi Elephant Nursery. Then, watch the milk feeding and mud bath while learning about each elephant’s rescue story. Additionally, learn about the Trust’s conservation efforts.

Day 3 – Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park
Depart by road for Tsavo East, one of Kenya’s largest and oldest parks. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive searching for the famous “Red Elephants,” lions, and lesser kudu. Depending on your lodge, enjoy your first visit to the nearby Voi Reintegration Unit.

Day 4 – Elephant Conservation in Tsavo East

Following breakfast, depart by road for Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch after the drive. Enjoy the afternoon game drive beneath the Mount Kilimanjaro skyline. This route showcases diverse landscapes as you travel.
Expect close encounters with large family herds. These herds are led by experienced matriarchs guiding daily routines. Your driver guide shares insights during the sightings. Each moment reinforces the park’s wildlife rhythms. The afternoon fades into a comfortable evening as activities wind down.

Day 8 – Fly from Amboseli to Samburu via Nairobi. Following breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Samburu via Nairobi.

Today’s highlight is a visit to the extraordinary Reteti Elephant Sanctuary. Owned and managed by the local Samburu community, Reteti rescues and rehabilitates orphaned calves.
