Kicheche Mara Camp is a classic tented camp hidden in a grove of wild olive and croton trees in a prime wildlife area of the northern Mara plains. The camp is small and retains an exclusive feel. The camp prides itself on offering a friendly and relaxing stay, with the hosts treating you as welcome guests, not mere travel statistics. To maintain this intimate and relaxed atmosphere there is a maximum limit of twenty-two guests in-house at any time.

The majority of the tents are in secluded positions overlooking the plains and nearby hills, while others are closer together for families or friends. Triple and Quad tents (1 double and 2 single beds) are also available. Each tent is comfortably furnished with an en-suite bathroom and flushing toilet.

The spacious Nyati tent acts as the camp lounge with comfortable seating, a library, board games, cards, and local crafts.

Day 1

Arrive at Safarilink lounge‚ Wilson Airport for your scheduled morning or afternoon flight to Masai Mara. The flight is approximately an hour to Mara North Airstrip in Maasai Mara.

Touch down in this magnificent wilderness and your guide will be there to greet you before setting out across the plains where you will have your first wildlife sighting en route to camp. You will then be met by Kicheche Mara camp hosts and given a briefing before settling into your tent and freshening up before lunch.

Afterward ‚ relax and absorb the surroundings before setting off on an afternoon game drive in the conservancy till sunset. You may come across giraffes nibbling on the highest leaves or elephants stripping bark from the tastiest trees. Return to camp at dusk for hot showers‚ then an aperitif by the fireside with your hosts and other guests before settling down for dinner.

Day 2

Rise early with tea or coffee brought to your tent then set off as the sun rises for a wilderness awakening game drive. The verdant plains host a fabulous array of plains game such as gazelles‚ impala‚ buffalo‚ zebra‚ wildebeest and eland. Never far away are the predators such as lions ‚ cheetahs ‚ leopards and hyenas which our guides are finely tuned to find. Later, return to camp for lunch, and afternoon at leisure before proceeding on another shared game drive. All meals are included.

Day 3

Enjoy your final day in the Mara after the morning game drive. Check out and transfer to the airstrip for your Safarilink flight to Wilson Airport – Nairobi.
