Basecamp Masai Mara offers 17 spacious and luxurious Double Riverside Tents, including two Family Riverside Tents, perfect for families traveling with children. The tents are built along the banks of the Talek River, the natural border to the Masai Mara National Reserve. The dense riverbed foliage allows for maximum privacy and comfort, without compromising the view of the Masai Mara National Reserve just a stone’s throw away. With more than 300 identified bird species, you are certain to wake to a symphony of birdsong while staying at Basecamp Masai Mara.

Next to Basecamp Masai Mara is the Enjoolata Awareness Centre where guests are invited to exhibitions, movies, photo editing, and face-to-face meetings with the Maasais providing a deeper understanding to anyone who seeks knowledge about this fascinating culture and place.

Day 1

Arrive at Safarilink lounge‚ Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. The flight is approximately 45 minutes.

Upon arrival at the airstrip‚ you will be met by the Basecamp Mara driver guide who will transfer you to the Camp to check in‚ from the airstrip you will enjoy a short game drive viewing. After lunch‚ you will depart for a late afternoon game drive or enjoy other activities offered at the camp.

Day 2

Early morning game drive conducted in 4×4 vehicles and accompanied by an experienced driver-guide. Lectures on wildlife conservation and culture are regularly given. Later in the day‚ you will engage in a variety of exciting safari activities. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Enjoy your final day in the Mara after the morning game drive‚ you can sit and relax as you wait to be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi.
