Rekero Tented Camp is a luxurious, owner-hosted property priding itself on providing a warm welcome. Rekero Tented Camp’s wild riverside setting is at the heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve. Being so close to both the Mara and Talek rivers, Rekero provides guests with an ideal opportunity to view the annual migration crossings from the comfort of their armchair.

Rekero Camp is situated at what is recognised as the prime site within the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve, close to the confluence of the Mara and Talek rivers. The Reserve and the adjacent Conservation area totals 750 square miles and forms the northern tip of the Serengeti – Maasai Mara eco-system.

Rekero Camp has eigth spacious tents, all of which have the capacity of being a double, twin or triple – all with terraces overlooking the Talek river and en-suite bathrooms with flush loos and safari showers. Solar lanterns and kerosene lamps are provided in each tent. An inverter is available to charge video camera batteries, and there is a satellite telephone.

From Nairobi - Twice daily Air Kenya and Safari Link schedules to Ol Kiombo.
From Nanyuki - Daily morning flight to Ol Kiombo.
Private Charters also land at Ol Kiombo which is 15 minutes from the Tented Camp

Seasons:
We are open all year round except April, May and November when we close for the rains. The temperature never exceeds 85F/30C during the day and rarely drops below 60F/15C at night. The warmest time of year is December, January and the coolest is June, July.
Childrens
We suggest that the minimum age for children is 8 years old, however this is flexible.
