Day 1- Lamu, Peponi Hotel
On arrival into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will
be met by a Beyond Kenya Safaris representative. You will be taken on a half day tour visiting such attractions
as Daphne Sheldrick Animal orphanage, The Giraffe Sanctuary and Karen Blixen museum. After the tour you will be transferred
to Wilson Airport for the 13h45 Safari link scheduled flight to Lamu. On arrival you will be met by a representative
from Peponi who will transfer you by boat to the hotel.
Peponi is a small hotel on the exotic island of Lamu, in the Indian Ocean, the very root of Swahili culture, which spread
centuries ago down the East African Coast. With 24 rooms, all rooms at Peponi have ocean views. The superior
rooms are differentiated by their location, size, private outside area, indoor plants, artwork and Swahili furnishings. No
two rooms are alike. All rooms have overhead fans, mosquito nets, showers, fresh flowers, and personal safes.
Day 3 – Lamu, Manda Bay
After breakfast you will be collected by a Manda Bay boat
and transferred to Manda, an unspoilt, idyllic island in the Lamu archipelago. Manda is made up of 16 comfortable and highly
stylish cottages located on miles of uninhabited beach, all in keeping with the local landscape. Each cottage has a
ceiling fan, an en-suite bathroom and a verandah overlooking the Indian Ocean. Relaxation, water sports, dhow safaris
and pampering, the activities are endless!
Day 7 –
Depart
After lunch you will be transferred by boat in time
to catch the 16h00 Safarilink scheduled flight back to Wilson. A Beyond Kenya Safaris representative will meet and transfer
you either for dinner before your international flight or direct to the international airport for your journey home.
